"There was a problem communicating with the server"

Hey everybody,

So it's my first time working with Hotglue.
After a clean installation on my own server anytime I change anything an error alert window appears and goes as follows:

The glue gun manufacturer says: There was a problem communicating with the server (ready state 4, status 500)

And nothing is actually saved except the images I upload but they are just shown in a column and in their original size.
I was wondering if it has something to do with permissions ?
Has any encountered such a problem ?

I've already set properly the "chmod -R 0777 content" using ssh access to my hosting at gandi.net

But I can see that the updates have 755 permissions. Is it somehow related ?

If you can point me to where is the js or php function responsible for that I can maybe edit that directly on GitHub ? I don't know. Anyway I'm ready to help just so you know.

Same problem here... 1&1 hosting.
With 500 error when error flag is activated in config (of hotglue)
Content folder have 777 permission.
Cant fix,
worked great with my old host ',(
