Firmware update "Bye 2014"

Hello dear everyone!

After too long of a delay we finally have a firmware update! http://dev.superglue.it/firmware/0.1.19-RC_bye2014
(use 'factory' if you are installing SG firmware for the first time or 'sysupgrade' if upgrading from a previous version)

Most of the issues have been fixed, however it is still a 'Release candidate' version, meaning it still contains some bugs ,) Please test it thoroughly and give us your feed back.

Please note, if you are updating your device from the previous (broken) firmware release you need to flash 'rescue' firmware first and after that flash the current release. 'Rescue' firmware is available here http://dev.superglue.it/firmware/rescue

Hey,

Did a fresh factory install of the updated firmware.
I had problems changing the IP address of both LAN and WifI. The page says it is updating the settings, but nothing changes. As both Superglue and my home router insist on being on 192.168.1.1 they run into conflict with each other.

Would love to know if I could manually change to /etc/config/network to make this work... But better still would be a working backend.

Also, initializing the USB stick gave me this error:

right.. try wiping your USB stick clean of any preexisting partitions and try again. e.g. you could 'initialize' the stick in OSX first, and then try again in SG control panel.

also, you might want to reboot your SG server once formatting of the USB stick succeeds.

after clicking initialize twice, the usb stick was properly formatted. \o/

Do you also have an idea whats up with the network interface? Would be great if the router has a static IP on the LAN so I can setup port forwarding to it on my modem.

Ok, I connected the UTP cable from my modem to Superglue now to the wan port. That helped a bit; that port now got a IP adres and has internet connection.

The IP of the WiFi stays 192.168.1.1 and thus in conflict with the modem. Any updates on the admin page to this gives no error, but also no change...

the issues relating to static IP configuration should have been resolved, please confirm

(when changing Local network IP range the http://superglue.local/admin page stops responding - simply reconnect to your network [get new IP lease] and reload the page)
